Cobalt Sulfate

Cobalt Sulfate is a dry cobalt source, the heptahydrate crystal form at 21% cobalt. Cobalt is a micronutrient tied closely to nitrogen fixation in legumes, where it supports the rhizobia bacteria that convert atmospheric nitrogen into plant-available form, and it also plays a role in animal nutrition when forages carry it through. It is needed in very small amounts, which is reflected in the 1 oz per acre rate. Fully soluble, it works in foliar, soil, or seed applications. For growers running legumes or building a complete trace-element program, cobalt is one of the easily overlooked micros that supports the nitrogen pathway.
